2 1/2 Tbsp Gin
1 Tbsp elderflower liquor (such as St. Germain though I used generic)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
4 mint leaves +more to garnish
2 dashes bitter's lab rose hip and pinyon pine bitters
I sometimes make cocktails for friends's birthdays. This weekend was my friend Jaclyn's big day and I know she likes gin and elderflower, so I made this cocktail. I-err actually Evelyn thought the bitters would be season appropriate. I had also bought the mint and when I first tried the drink without it, it made me think of how mint improves the southside cocktail.
Directions: Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Vigorously shake, the extra vigorous shaking will help the mint release its flavors. Strain and garnish with a citrus slice and or mint sprig.
